Plant-It-Pink Garden
The club planted and maintains the Pink Garden in front of the Village Library to honor those touched by breast cancer.
Garden of Learning
The club planted and maintains this garden of shrubs, grasses and hostas at the parking lot entrance to the village library. A renovation is under way to incorporate additional pollinator
plants and shrubs at this lovely garden entrance to the library.
Iron Springs Garden
This is a native species garden located at the Iron Spring Park on Front Street. The garden is currently undergoing an extensive renovation and upgrade with spectacular results.
Scholarships
Annual Camp Colby Scholarship Award
A scholarship is awarded yearly to a middle school student to attend a one-week summer residence campership at Camp Colby, a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation education camp in Saranac Lake, New York.
Horticultural Award
A scholarship is awarded annually to a Ballston Spa High School or BOCES senior who is entering the field of horticulture or environmental science.
Plant Sales
Orders are taken for geraniums, petunias and other plants.
Annual Members' Perennial Plants Plus Fundraiser
Members offer many of their great plants for sale in conjunction with the Village-Wide Garage Sale. 48 Chapman Street, Ballston Spa
Youth Activities
Located at the front desk of the Ballston Spa Public Library, The Frog Bag is available for children to check out and enjoy at home. It contains a themed book to read, a craft to create, games, puzzles or colorings, and suggestions for outdoor adventures.
Horticulture Therapy
Members assist local seniors in gardening projects by creating and maintaining
raised bed gardens at Doubleday Woods Senior Housing.
Philanthropy
Food, clothing and monetary donations are made to local and national organizations
throughout the year.
